World music - Pop - Worldbeat

KLARISA - Castel Viscardo (TR, Italy)

Release of the firts digital album by KLARISA, Ludu kaj kantu on 7 juny 2023

KLARISA (Clarissa Sabatini) is a 23-year-old multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter.
She started playing the classical piano at the age of seven, then learned to play percussion instruments for many years. She thus studied drums, various percussions, congas, djembe, harp, and singing.

Klarisa also plays ethnic instruments such as the kora, steel drum, darbuka, tabla, etc. Due to her passion for Africa, her songs are mainly in Swahili, but also in French, Spanish, Zulu, and more recently in Esperanto.
Her songs cover many genres inspired by various cultures from Africa to the East, also including reggae and Latin American influences.

Klarisa discovered Esperanto at the end of 2021, and uses it as a bridge between different musical cultures to interpret her own style of music, which lies between world music and pop.

Her meeting with the independent Esperanto label Vinilkosmo gave her the desire to create an Esperanto repertoire from her songs with the help and collaboration of adapters, such as the Italians Giuseppe Castelli and Pier Luigi Cinquantini and the Spaniard Miguel Gutiérrez (Liven Dek).
The fruit of this collaboration is presented in her first album in Esperanto Ludu kaj kantu.
